South Africa: Malaria update!

According to the latest malaria update by South Africa's National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), the transmission of malaria in endemic areas in South Africa has extended into late May 2017 and early June 2017; however, the number of cases has decreased significantly in the past two weeks.

Malaria in South Africa is endemic in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal. Residents and travellers are encouraged to take necessary precautions, and keep a high index of awareness of malaria symptoms.
